Alexander McQueen.

Lee McQueen, grunnleggeren og designeren bak Alexander McQueen, døde torsdag. Han ble født i 1970, og studerte ved Central Saint Martins.

"Lee McQueen influenced a whole generation of designers. His brilliant imagination knew no bounds as he conjured up collection after collection of extraordinary designs. At one level he was a master of the fantastic, creating astounding fashions shows that mixed design, technology and performance and on another he was a modern day genius whose gothic aesthetic was adopted by women the world over. Han ble regnet som en av verdens aller største designere, og ble kåret til British Designer Of The Year hele fire ganger mellom 1996 og 2003, fått utmerkelsen CBE, Commandor of the British Empire, og har blitt utnevnt til International Designer of The Year av CFDA.
